Good luck

Walking out from the familiar hall

Seeing the same leaves fall

I’m relieved to relive the memories for one last time

To when we do nothing else but making nursery rhymes

Now you’ll raise your glass and we couldn’t be more proud

Saying “ we overcame those tall walls and yet here we are on our way to climb another one” far too loud

Looking into each other’s eyes, drunk from the sodas and new dreams

Holding breaths while giving out wry smiles, this is when tears come and break the seams

Everyone chimed in harmony, making peace

Or maybe giving some pieces,

Packing up with nothing but parting words,

“Think it’s time to scramble out into the world.”

“From here and the next, good luck. Good luck.”

“Pray we’ll be happy or at least swimming in million bucks.”

Like children when the school bell rang,

we’ll go home or gather up together again

Know that there is too much to thank,

Keep it to ourselves until then
